Your documents are never uploaded
The core of Docx2Pdf is a converter that runs entirely inside your web browser. When you choose a .docx file, that file is read into your browser tab’s memory and converted to a PDF on your own device, using your device’s processor. The document is never transmitted to us or to any server. Because there is no upload, we hold no copy of your file, we cannot read its contents, and there is nothing for us to store, share, or hand to anyone else. When you close or refresh the tab, the file is discarded from memory.
Information we do and don’t collect
We deliberately keep data collection to a minimum. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not request your name, email address, or payment details to use the converter.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical request logs — for example, the pages requested, a truncated or anonymised IP address, browser type, and timestamp. This information is used only to keep the Site running securely and to understand aggregate traffic levels. It is not linked to any document you convert, because your documents are never sent to the server in the first place.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. The Site itself does not require cookies to perform a conversion. However, cookies and similar technologies may be set by the third-party advertising described below. You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; blocking advertising cookies will not stop the converter from working.
Google AdSense and third-party vendors
We display advertising to keep the tool free. This advertising is served by Google, through the Google AdSense program.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
- These advertising vendors may collect data such as your device’s IP address, browser information, and interactions with ads, in accordance with their own privacy policies. They do not receive the documents you convert, which never leave your device.

Your choices and opt-outs
You have several ways to control personalised advertising:
- Opt out of personalised Google advertising through Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of personalised advertising from many participating vendors at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.
- Use your browser’s settings to block or delete cookies, or browse in a private window.
If you are in a region with specific data-protection laws (such as the EEA, the UK, or California), you may have additional rights over your personal data, including the right to access or request deletion of information a vendor holds about you. Requests about advertising data are generally directed to the relevant vendor; you can also contact us and we will help where we can.
Children’s privacy
Docx2Pdf is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add a feature or change an advertising partner. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
